DESCRIPTION
Hakuro-Nishiki - this is a fast growing tree which is grafted on an elongated rootstock. Its main feature is its lush, rounded crown reaching up to 3 m in diameter. The leaves are white-green, the new growth is pinkish, and the shoots are brown-red, which gives a multi-coloured, eye-catching display. Without a doubt, it will be the pride of any garden.ADVICES
The tree is best planted in a sunny position, sheltered from wind. It grows well in all types of soil. Keep in mind that the soil should be constantly moist. In the first year the shoots should be pruned very vigorously at the length of about 20 cm, or a few eye-buds, and the subsequent cuts depend on how big you would like the crown to be. Main pruning should be done in spring, immediately after flowering, before the leaves appear. At the same time, it should not be later than the end of July. Hakuro-Nishiki likes frequent pruning, so that there are more and more new, decorative stems, and the crown is denser. In harsh winters you must protect the shoots as they are prone to frost. The tree should be watered frequently.
