It produces big, black, conical-ovular shaped fruit - extremely juicy and tasty. Perfect eaten raw and processed in jams, jellies and preserves. Thornless blackberry - is the generic name of the species. Some thorns may appear on the plant.ADVICES
This blackberry prefers a sunny position that is sheltered from wind. Plant in peat soil that is fertile, light, and moderately moist. The optimum pH should be around 6.5.The mature plant requires support. In the first year after planting, allow to grow freely. Only when the shoots reach a length of about 2 m should the tops be pruned - this will stimulate growth of the side shoots, and the following year, fruit will be produced. In autumn, after the harvest, remove the entire two-year old stem from which the fruit was harvested- the reason for this, is to achieve a good harvest the next year. The plant bears fruit on the previous year's shoots- for the winter remove the shoots from the supports and place them on the ground covering them with branches, straw or agricultural fleece. In the spring once again spread the shoots on the supports. In the meantime, the plant will benefit from spreading compost or a multi-component fertilizer.
