DESCRIPTION
Kordia - this is one of the most valuable, and popular varieties of cherries. It fruits early and yields well and fairly regularly. Fruits are red, large, and firm, elongated heart-shaped with aromatic and very tasty flesh.ADVICES
The tree is best planted in a sunny, slightly airy position. It prefers a sandy/clay soil which is moderately moist, and fertile. The optimum pH is in the range of 6.5-7.0.To stimulate future growth the tree should be pruned in the first year immediately after planting. Formative pruning should be executed on the main stem, 20 cm above where the planned future branches will grow. The other branches should also be cut, reducing their length by one third. The best time to prune the cherry tree is annually in the spring. The variety is resistant to diseases. Kordia pollination requires the presence of other varieties flowering at the same time. Best results can be achieved by planting with varieties Hedelfińska, Schneidera Późna, Van, Heidegger and Sam.
