DESCRIPTION

European Beech - this plant is perfectly suited to use as a solid, deeply rooted, tall screen (up to 5 m in height). It has a dual function purpose and can be used as a wind shield or fence. This Beech is beautifully presented throughout the season. Throughout the spring and summer it is covered in twisted elliptical green leaves, which turn to a yellow/bronzy/red in the autumn. In winter, its steel-grey branches are clearly visible.

ADVICES

This shrub does well in both sun and shade. It prefers fertile soil that is fresh and rich in lime, clay or sandy clay.

This plant has a high tolerance to pruning, so it is ideal as a plant used for hedges. After planting, the ground should be well compacted around the seedling, and watered.
