DESCRIPTION
Virginia creeper- this is a very attractive garden vine. It clings to walls, and climbs by adhering to surfaces using aerial roots. It reaches approximately 20 m in height. The leaves are green and turn beautifully to a rich scarlet red in autumn. The flowers grow out of spurs that appear at the end of June and beginning of July and form yellow-green clusters.ADVICES
This creeper grows well in sun or semi-shade. The plant prefers garden soil that is not too heavy or clayey. Before planting, it is important to prepare the soil by removing weeds. If necessary change the soil and also enrich with compost. Young plants should be supported by tying to a support. Initially the plant should be watered frequently, and in the following years, during periods of drought. In order to reduce water evaporation the soil around the creeper should be mulched, for example with bark.
