Faworytka - is a one of the most popular varieties of pear, due to the fact that it is easy to grow, and an excellent fruit for both direct consumption as well as for drying or stewing. It produces a lot of fruit every year. The fruits are large with a fairly regular shape, and the skin is greenish-yellow with a red blush. The flesh could be described as juicy and smooth, with an exceptional taste.ADVICES
The tree is best planted in a sunny position, sheltered from the wind. The tree prefers humus-clay soil which is moderately moist. The optimum pH range is 6,2-6,7.To stimulate future growth the tree should be pruned in the first year immediately after planting. Formative pruning should be executed on the main stem, 20 cm above where planned future branches will grow. The other branches should also be cut, reducing their length by one third. The best time to prune the pear tree is annually in the spring. Pear Faworytka pollination requires the presence of other varieties flowering at the same time. Best results can be achieved by planting with varieties Bera Hardy, Bonkreta Williamsa, Konferencja, Komisówka, Paryżanka, Hortensja, Trewinka.
