DESCRIPTION

Schneidera Późna - is a very old variety and is exceptionally beautiful when presented in a garden. Fruits are very large, with a wide heart shape. The skin is cherry-brown, and when fully ripe brown-black. The flesh is bright red, crunchy, with a sweet wine taste. The fruit of this variety are considered very delicious.

ADVICES

The tree is best planted in a sunny, slightly airy position. It prefers a sandy/clay soil which is moderately moist, and fertile. The optimum pH is in the range of 6.5-7.0.

To stimulate future growth the tree should be pruned in the first year immediately after planting. Formative pruning should be executed on the main stem, 20 cm above where the planned future branches will grow. The other branches should also be cut, reducing their length by one third. The best time to prune the cherry tree is annually in the spring. This variety is disease resistant. Schneidera Późna pollination requires the presence of other varieties flowering at the same time. Best results can be achieved by planting with varieties Van, Hedelfińska.
