'Purple surprise' Japanese azalea is a beautiful bush that should find its place in every garden in Japanese style. Large blue and violet flowers, gathered in impressive bunches. Flowering is extremely prolific and occurs between April and May.ADVICES
The bush should be planted in a shiny location, but cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. Acidic and well-drained soil is preferred. pH should be 4.5 to 5.5.Japanese azaleas require moderate watering. It is best to do it in the morning or in the evening. Break off dead flowers to stimulate blooming in the following year. Soil can be mulched with 3 to 5 cm of composted pine bark. In winter, cover the plant with conifer branches or nonwoven fabric to protect it against frost.
