The shrub is best planted in a sunny position, sheltered from wind. The plant prefers fertile soil, humus rich and permeable, slightly acidic or alkaline. It should be sufficiantly moist.
When the plant starts coming into bud, begin to support it with fertilizers for flowering plants. In the winter period it is necessary to wrap the Hibiscus with hay or branches of pine. In Spring, prune the young shoots in order to stimulate plant growth. Then get rid of the damaged and frostbitten parts. The plant should be watered regularly.
